A bit about me..
I am a 47 year old 'farmer's wife', and mum to our 9 year old son.
I became interested in counselling about 15 years ago after facing my own challenges, and coming out the other side in one piece!
My own personal journey and development has given me an insight into myself and others that allows me to work in a compassionate and non-judgemental way.
I am an Accredited Member of BACP and the National Counselling Society, and adhere to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
I am insured and have regular supervision to support me in my work.
Over the last 12 years I have successfully completed the following training:
Certificate in Counselling
Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
Relate NI Level 5 Relationship Therapy
Childline Telephone and email counselling
Adult Bereavement Training
Young People and Children Bereavement Training
Working with Trauma in Adults
ASIST (Suicide Prevention)
Communicating with Stroke Survivors
Working with CBT for Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and social phobia
Alongside my private practice, I am also an Associate Counsellor with Relate NI, working relationally with individuals and couples. I have also trained and worked with Cruse Bereavement Care to support adults, children and young people through grief and loss.
